1、 Introduction to TELEC Certification
The Japanese Radio Law requires model approval (i.e. technical regulatory compliance certification) for designated radio equipment. TELEC certification is mandatory, and the certification body is the registered certification body recognized by MIC within the designated scope of wireless equipment. TELEC (Telecom Engineering Center) is the main registered certification body for compliance certification of wireless equipment in Japan. TELEC is also known as MIC certification in Japan, and is one of the designated certification bodies of MIC, so it is collectively referred to as TELEC certification. All wireless products exported to Japan require a TELEC certification certificate during export customs clearance. Whether sold on Amazon Japan or locally in Japan, they must comply with the Japanese market access permit.

2、 TELEC certification standards
The technical standards for TELEC certification can be found in the classification and technical standards of designated radio equipment listed in the Technical Regulation Compliance Certification System on its official website. It is worth noting that in case of any differences between these technical standards and the technical requirements of Radio Regulatory Commission Rules No. 18, the Radio Regulatory Commission Rules shall prevail.

four、 TELEC certification type
TELEC certification includes Test Certification and Type Certification.
1. Testing and certification: Verification is conducted for each device unit, and this certification is only valid for each verified device unit;
2. Type certification: Verification of samples of a batch of equipment with the same design and manufacturing. The certification is valid for all equipment in the batch, but if there are changes in the design or manufacturing of the equipment, it will need to be re certified.

five、 Notes on TELEC Certification
For the use of non low power wireless power stations and their terminal equipment, a license application must be submitted to MIC.
In addition, there are two situations for compliance certification of telecommunications terminal equipment:
For ordinary telephone devices, as long as they undergo JATE certification in accordance with the requirements of the Telecommunications Industry Law;
For wireless terminal devices, in addition to JATE certification required by the Telecommunications Act, TELEC certification is also required according to the requirements of the Wireless Law.
